How Somerset Press LTD uses browser storage properties to preserve calculator options and session tracking.
Last Updated: May 20, 2026
This document explains how Somerset Press LTD uses cookies and local browser storage properties to enhance site operations and track visitor counts.
1. Essential Functional Storage
We utilize essential local cookies and storage variables to execute key site utilities, including:
- Caching slider selection data inside our Interactive Royalty Calculator, maintaining your settings as you browse other page sections.
- Preserving navigation preferences when accessing subpages.
2. Performance & Analytics Cookies
We use anonymous analytics scripts to count site visitors, track which sections are most popular (e.g. cover design vs audiobook pages), and identify page loading issues. These tools do not trace personal identity details or draft texts.
3. Your Cookie Choices
Google Analytics and the live-chat service remain disabled unless you select “Accept optional cookies” in our privacy choices banner. Selecting “Reject optional cookies” keeps those services disabled. You can reopen the banner at any time using the “Privacy choices” button at the bottom of the page.
You can also clear stored choices or block cookies through your browser settings. Essential website features continue to work if optional cookies are rejected, although live chat will not be available.
